SORH - Enhancing Rural Health Systems in Mississippi

The selected organization must demonstrate a strong, statewide presence in rural health and a proven track record of engaging diverse rural health stakeholders across Mississippi. This includes the ability to convene healthcare providers, rural clinics and hospitals, public health entities, educators, and community-based organizations to collectively address the challenges and opportunities in rural healthcare delivery. The organization should offer established infrastructure for technical assistance, workforce development, continuing education, and stakeholder communication. Experience in planning and executing statewide events is essential. The applicant must also be capable of providing subject matter expertise in areas such as rural health operations, compliance, and quality improvement, and facilitating partnerships that advance rural health equity and access. A demonstrated commitment to supporting the state’s rural healthcare system through education, policy engagement, and collaborative programming will be considered a key strength.
