Unified Development Code for Planning Department

The City of Pueblo is seeking assistance from a highly qualified consultant to work collaboratively with the City of Pueblo’s Planning and Public Works staff, City of Pueblo Planning & Zoning Commission and stakeholder groups to complete a modernization of the City’s zoning code (Title XVII), the City’s subdivision code (Title XII, Chapters 4 & 5) and the City’s Historic Preservation code (Title IV, Chapter 14). The outcome of this process is to establish a Unified Development Code and update the City’s Historic Preservation Code within the City’s Municipal Code of Ordinances. The new unified development code will focus on establishing updated codes that addresses sections of the current code that are either deficient, outdated, overly complex or that otherwise unnecessarily inhibit development. The update, envisioned to be completed over a timeframe of 18-24 months. This project will be a two-part process. Proposers will be evaluated on qualifications during this RFQ, and those Proposer's determined as scoring high enough will be invited to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP).
