Medical Transportation Services

The County of Orange (County) Health Care Agency (HCA) is seeking applications from qualified organizations to provide prompt Medical Transportation Services to individuals of all ages whom the County has statutory obligations to provide medical care such as those arrested, incarcerated, or persons detained by HCA’s Behavioral Health Services and/or HCA’s Public Health Services Disease Control and Epidemiology, and for other persons whose transport by ambulance will assist the individuals in getting their immediate needs met. The County staff conducts the necessary assessments to determine if the individual requires hospitalization or transportation to designated locations. Once the need for transportation has been determined, County staff will reach out to local non-emergency medical transportation companies to provide the actual transportation.
