This model represents the current platform already in use within the laboratory, and maintaining consistency with this system is critical to ensure continuity of validated workflows, staff competency, and diagnostic quality. The proposed Sakura Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI Vacuum Infiltration Processor acquisition will integrate directly into this existing environment and support ongoing veterinary diagnostic service at the DSU without disruption. It is the University’s understanding, based on supplier documentation provided to date, that Somagen Diagnostics Inc. is the sole authorized Canadian distributor for the Sakura Tissue-Tek VIP 6 AI Vacuum Infiltration Processor. The equipment represents a continuation of an existing platform strategy rather than the introduction of a new technology.
