Description
The purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to obtain pricing for and procure a series of drone-in-a box units across Eastern NC (Lumberton area) in effort to have a quick response to flooding from natural disasters. For the four (4) DIAB units that are being acquired as part of this project, the intent is to install two (2) units in “permanent” locations at NCDOT facilities (District and Maintenance yards) around the Lumberton area to address the original grant for flood response from any hurricane that impacts our coast. Additionally, we intend to install the remaining two (2) units on mobile trailers that can be placed at strategic locations pre-disaster for rapid deployment after an event.
