As Needed Professional Engineering and Technical Services (Renewable Annual Contract, Three Year)

The Palmdale Water District intends to enter into contracts with a 'Type of Service firm to provide 'Project Description . The work to be performed by the Consultant under the proposed contract shall consist of 'Type of Service to perform planning, environmental compliance, design, construction management and inspections services for water systems. Tasks will include the following: Prepare initial studies: Hydraulic evaluation and pipeline sizing Surge Analysis Demand analysis and forecasting Structural and process assessments Storage reservoir sizing Preparation of plans, specifications and bid documents associated with various design projects: Wells Reservoir Booster Stations Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Turnout Structure and Sluice Gate Rehabilitation Electrical and Lighting System Sediment Removal Bid and Construction Phase Services (any of the design projects mentioned above) The work will include the following engineering disciplines. Proposers may submit for one or all the disciplines. Please identify the engineering discipline to be selected. Electrical, Civil, Environmental, Instrumentation and Control (I&C), Mechanical, and Structural Geotechnical, Environmental, Hydrogeological, Survey, The consultant serves as the design engineer, reference, and resource pertaining to questions regarding water system planning principles, policies, and practices of AWWA, District Standards, and State of California Department of Water Resources Division of Drinking Water. Firms will be selected based on the needs of the District with renewable agreements over a three-year period plus two optional one-year renewals for a possible length of up to five years. Selected firms will be asked to provide a detailed scope of work and fee estimate for each requested project. Firms will either competitively compete for work or be sole-sourced based on fee or ability to deliver services on the District's timeframe. The services and projects expected for the next three to five years are identified in the scope of services.
