Coombs Street & South Coombs Street Rehabilitation- Imola Avenue to 5th Street
City of Napa / Public Works Department
Description
The Coombs Street & South Coombs Street Rehabilitation - Imola Avenue to 5th Street Project (“Project”) is a complete streets project, which will reconstruct existing concrete, pavement and storm drain infrastructure along the corridor while providing safety upgrades to the intersections and bicycle facilities. Trees observed to be causing distortion to existing concrete will be removed and damaged sidewalks, driveways, curb and gutter will be reconstructed to City Standards. Outdated catch basins and degraded pipelines will be replaced. Curb ramps and bulbouts will be constructed at the intersections to provide better accessibility for pedestrians and to calm vehicular traffic. The road will be reconstructed using full depth reclamation methods and a new 4" layer of hot mix asphalt pavement will be constructed along the entire span of the project. New striping and signage will be applied once the pavement has been installed. New trees will also be planted to replace those removed initially in the project.
