(1) Vendor needs to provide AI–native radio access network (ran) solutions. • The AI–native network fabric requires an architecture that allows for the full functionality and seamless exchange of data• New processing capabilities have the ability to process new AI applications, traditional IT, and RAN–related network functions on the same set of infrastructure simultaneously.• AI: Massively parallel matrix math and other processes required to support various AI activities enabled by such systems, LLMs and other neural networks. For example, AI workloads can include model training, inference, data processing, and specific applications such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and generative AI.• Services (e.g., streaming, caching, databases): data is held and accessed by AI–enabled models, agents and applications.• Operations (e.g., service Mesh & APIs): challenges associated with traffic management, observability, and resiliency are measured and monitored.
