We are seeking proposals for five (5) managed network switches (similar in performance and specification to the Extreme Networks 5120-24XT switch, or functional equivalent), each equipped with 24 ports supporting 10Gbps (10GbE) connectivity (including fiber/SFP+ support) and high-speed uplink capacity, alongside professional installation, activation, and initial configuration services. Proposed hardware and implementation services must deliver seamless interoperability, full feature compatibility, and unified management integration with the district's existing Extreme Networks switch infrastructure (including 440G2, 460G2, 5520, and 5540 series), or provide a functionally equivalent solution. All bids for equivalent equipment and services must demonstrate that the proposed hardware supports identical management protocols (such as ExtremeCloud IQ / Universal Hardware feature sets), standard 10G fiber optic transceivers, VLAN standards, and stacking/uplink performance without requiring architectural redesigns, additional software licensing, or network re-configuration. Vendor scope of work must include physical mounting, labor, firmware updates, port configuration, VLAN tagging, and initial turn-up testing.
