Audit and Revenue Recovery Services

The City of Clermont is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide Audit and Revenue Recovery Services related to Municipal Public Service Taxes (MPST) on utility services, including electric, fuel oil/kerosene, LP gas, manufactured gas, natural gas, and water. The goal is to enhance compliance by utility providers, ensure accurate tax remittance within City boundaries, and recover underreported or unreported revenues. The selected firm should have experience in: Auditing MPST remittances (desk and field), Identifying misclassified or omitted taxable service locations, Using GIS or address-matching tools, Working with Florida municipalities under contingency or fee-based models. This engagement will support the City’s efforts to enforce MPST regulations and optimize revenue collection.
