Aurora Metro Drainage Easement Repair

RTD’s maintenance team reported significant erosion along the eastern side of the tracks south of Aurora Metro Central Station. The erosion, caused by the natural movement of storm water from adjacent properties, has caused approximately 80 linear feet of fence line to fail, and the ongoing scouring of subgrade that weakens the integrity of the track and its adjacent maintenance access; thereby, threatening both the immediate and long-term safety of RTD employees, riders, and adjacent peoples and property to the tracks in this location.
