Nelson City Council - Water Meter Reading Services - RFQ - 23 Sept 2026

Nelson City Council is a Unitary Authority at the top of the South Island with a population of approximately 55,000. We are a predominately urban authority with the bulk of the City area on reticulated water supply, with approximately 22,100 water meters. Water Meter Reading Services (for mechanical meters) are required to enable Council to invoice for water consumption across both Residential and Commercial users within the City boundaries. What we need Council is seeking a trusted and collaborative service provider to support the delivery of its water meter reading programme. The successful supplier will have the resources, expertise, and local presence required to provide accurate meter readings, responsive customer service, and reliable support across residential, commercial, property sale, and subdivision-related work. The supplier will demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous communication with Council while ensuring all services are delivered efficiently, accurately, and within agreed timeframes.
