(1) Vendor needs to provide sports strategy study services.– Provide needs data–driven insights to make data–driven policy and investment decisions regarding sports tourism.– To support this effort, the legislature appropriated funds to conduct a study to better understand both the economic benefits and the public costs associated with sporting events.– Study will be used as a strategic roadmap of sporting events and opportunities the state should pursue.– All data, findings, and recommended legislation from this study will be compiled into a final report.– Core market and economic evaluation:– Examine its net economic benefit.– Include direct and indirect revenues and costs.– Infrastructure and major venue assessment:– Determine whether any other existing large–scale sporting facility would be capable of supporting sports tourism.– Community impacts and mitigation strategies:– Identify potential infrastructure and community impacts associated with further investments in sports tourism, which may include traffic, public safety, or noise impacts, among others.– Strategic partnerships and training grounds:– Determine whether partnerships with local athletes who have achieved national or international prominence would enhance efforts to promote sports tourism.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 17, 2026.
