(1) Vendor needs to provide employee benefits legal counsel services to the government authority located in Waterford, MI.– Provide objective, third–party advice and counsel that will enable the board to make well–informed and well–educated decisions regarding the retirement system and its administration.– Review and provide advice regarding domestic relations orders and payment of benefits thereunder.– Present formal reports on legal issues, practices and processes related to all plans.– Provide meeting and administrative support.– Review, clarify, and provide guidance regarding retirement system provisions, including collective bargaining agreements.– Provide counsel regarding investment compliance and coordination.– Engage in civil litigation.– Monitor proposed and enacted federal and state legislation and regulations, and provide guidance on compliance therewith.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than November 6,2026.
