CSE-24832 - USA (Mamaroneck, New York) - School Crossing Guards Service - Deadline October 29,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide school crossing guards service to the government authority located in Mamaroneck, NY. – One crossing guard is assigned to each post, with an additional eight (8) relief crossing guards available to provide coverage during absences.– Crossing guards are civilian, part–time personnel who provide traffic and pedestrian safety services during the regular school year while school is in session.– Typical work hours are weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.– These hours may be adjusted as necessary due to inclement weather, delayed openings, early dismissals, student testing, teacher conferences, or other changes to the school schedule. – In addition, one Saturday crossing assignment is staffed from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – The School Crossing Guard Program is to provide adult supervision and assistance to students and pedestrians crossing streets on their way to and from school.– The crossing guard may interrupt vehicular traffic at uncontrolled intersections as necessary to enable students to cross safely.– However, guards are not law enforcement officers and are not authorized by law to direct vehicular traffic contrary to existing traffic control devices such as stop signs and traffic signals.– Additional crossing guard assignments, including school or village events, seasonal summer camp crossings, or similar programs, may be required at the discretion of the Village.– All crossing guards shall be competent, reliable, and able to interact professionally and effectively with children, parents, school personnel, and the public.– services to be provided includes the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, coordination and management of all crossing guards– Guards are not to leave the crossing if they can visibly see students walking to them.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than October 15, 2026.
