Traffic Signal Installation, Repair & Preventive Maintenance

The City of Orlando’s (City) Transportation Engineering (TRE) Division is responsible for maintaining approximately 495 signalized intersections, 23 school zone flashers, 44 warning flashers, eight dynamic message signs (DMS), and 84 Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) traffic surveillance cameras. TRE also maintains the Regional Computerized Signal System (RCSS) which includes communications with 464 signalized intersections using over 80 miles of fiber optic and twisted pair communication lines. T he City is seeking a contractor(s) to provide expeditious industry and safety standard repair and maintenance of traffic signals, including any incidental work related to such repair. Emergency and Disaster Provisions This solicitation is issued to establish one or more contracts, at the City’s discretion, to be used as a source of goods and services, as described herein, to be used on a normal, as-needed basis, as well as during emergency and disaster situations. By responding to this solicitation, the Bidder agrees to accept all orders for goods and services described herein, and to provide those same goods and services on: A first priority basis, During emergency situations, To facilitate recovery from major disaster, storms, terrorism, biological, chemical, or radiological attacks, and other acts of God.
