(1) Vendor needs to provide document conversion and scanning services. • Document conversion services requiring such operations as document preparation, scanning, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) conversion, PDF file creation, file naming management and conversion, indexing, packing, and distribution.• Provide document preparation services to include pre– and post–document handling services and document reconstruction services include to: dissembling documents, removing binding (staples, perfect–binding, wire coils, etc.), removing sticky/ post it type notes, unfolding, taking materials out of envelopes/folders/binders.• Scan all documents (including slides and negatives) as furnished (i.e., black only documents in black only (bitmap); grayscale only documents in grayscale; color documents in color).• Contractor to compress files to lossless PDF/A (with OCR) and TIFF files, JPEG 2000, as applicable to each furnished document per standards.• Scanned and converted documents are to be text searchable.• Contractor to return scanned/converted documents as a single or multiple page PDF with OCR, and/or single page TIFF, or JPEG 2000, as ordered.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
