WATER-0979 - USA (Indio, California) - Water Master Plan Update Services - Deadline September 3,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide water master plan update services to the government authority located in Indio, CA.1. Project management, communication and meetings:– Consultant shall submit an initial schedule with milestones using the latest version of MS project or similar software.– The schedule shall be updated monthly and shall be provided at monthly progress meetings or conference calls attended by consultant’s project manager.2. Preliminary investigation and background research:– Gather and review all pertinent materials needed for the update. Including, but not limited to, previous master plans, the urban water management plan, the hydraulic model currently in use, ground water modelling and well siting studies, surface water treatment feasibility reports, supplemental water supply program, SCADA review with current city SCADA consultant and operations staff, reservoir inspection reports, rate studies and financial analysis, census data and other studies and reports that could potentially affect the master plan update.3. Update water supply and demand forecasts:– Review the projections for consistency with the city's general plan, growth assumptions, and future development areas. Accomplish this task for each succeeding year, starting in 2026 and ending in 2046.– Identify the remaining EDUs which can be accommodated by the system and include an analysis of future EDUs available as future water supplies are made available to city.4. Identify production and distribution system requirements:– Develop an evaluation matrix of existing pipelines and facilities.– Develop and prepare a list of deficiencies pertaining to the existing water system.– Establish new pressure zones if needed.– Develop and prepare a list of deficiencies for the new pressure zones, i.e., areas where fire flow requirements are not met.5. Identify necessary operating programs:– Update the inventory list of all city water facilities, including wells, pump stations, flow and pressure control structures, inter–agency interties and others as appropriate.
