Description of Anticipated Requirement:The United States Air Force (USAF) has a need to field a system capable of addressing the issues posed by Degraded Visual Environments (DVE). The HH–60W DVES solution shall provide real–time hazard detection in both enroute and terminal areas, displaying this information clearly on cockpit and cabin displays. It shall be designed to function effectively in a variety of DVE, including those created by ambient/aritificial conditions such as smoke, smog, snow, night sand/dust, etc and aircraft–induced conditions such as brownout/whiteout. This effort will consist of the material solution and all non–recurring engineering required to install a DVE solution on to the HH–60W Jolly Green II helicopter, including the design, development, testing, integration, procurement, installation, and deployment of the DVES kits.Anticipated Contract Period of Performance:One (1) base period of twenty–four (24) months with One (1) Ordering Period and One (1) Option to turn on Ordering Periods 2–6. This establishes an total potential period of performance of eight (8) years.
