Lee College Cosmetology Renovation and Relocation

Project Goals Project Deliverables The existing Lee College cosmetology lab located at the TV-8 building will be relocated to the existing bookstore at 700 W. Texas Ave which is 3,800 square feet. The labs, classrooms, and associated auxiliary spaces will require an expansion into the existing garage at 2,530 square feet. The renovation will be one cosmetology classroom with adjacent labs. Which would total approximately 6,400 square feet. The labs will consist of an office, a dispensary, a reception area, a laundry room, a locker room, a pedicure area, a facial area, storage, and support spaces. The addition will enclose a portion of an existing parking garage at the rear which may require to restripe the parking lot and adjust the flow of the automotive circulation. The renovation and addition will consist of the following items below. · Updating the existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical for the building. · Reconfigure fire alarm and sprinkler system for proposed spaces · Proposing new finishes and casework · Providing Technology and Security upgrades to the existing space · Enclosing a portion of the garage for a conditioned space Any award made as the result of a Lee College-issued competitive solicitation will remain in effect for one year from date of award. The Lee College District may, at its sole discretion, request an extension of the contract for a period of four (4) additional years, twelve (12) months at a time. Extension of any contract is contingent upon satisfactory service and will require written authorization by both parties. LC reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors. The decision to award multiple contracts, award only one contract, or to make no awards rests solely with LC. LC may make multiple awards; this fact should be taken into consideration by each vendor.
