(1) Vendor needs to provide sign language interpreting services.– Statewide network of professional sign language interpreter services to facilitate communication for those who request the services who are deaf, hard of hearing or blind.– Spoken– and sign–language, visual, and interpreting services to ensure individuals have full and equal opportunity to participate in services and programs offered statewide– Providing on–demand and pre–scheduled access to sign language interpretation services– Interpreters are responsible for the compliance with the standards of neutrality and confidentiality and compliance with ADA communication standards– Interpreters shall accept assignments when available, but shall retain the right to decline an assignment where possible personal or professional conflict of interest exists– Provide a process for clients to report an issue or dissatisfaction related to the services provided and what steps are taken to remedy or resolve an identified issue– Interpreters shall not accept payment in any form (money, services, items, or any other means) from persons or entities they are interpreting for– To ensure interpreter availability and the criteria used to match an interpreter with the need of the requestor.– Agency will provide payment based on a fee for services schedule based on an hourly rate.– Statewide network of qualified sign language interpreters available for both on–site and remote assignments for deaf/hard of hearing individuals who request it as an accommodation.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than June 10, 2026.
