HR-9080 - USA (El Cajon, California) - Classification and Compensation Study Services - Deadline July 24,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide classification and compensation study services to the government authority located in El Cajon, CA.- Review and revise existing job descriptions for all classified job classes, including bargaining unit, confidential, supervisory, and management, to reflect the current duties and responsibilities of the classification. - Prepare job descriptions that identify essential job functions, physical demands, work environment, and hazardous conditions; and ADA requirements. - Develop and prepare a salary and classification plan that outlines internal job relationships within and between job families. Assign each position in the classified service to its proper classification and job classification family. - Propose and recommend a salary range placement for each classification based on internal relationships and external comparison with benchmark districts. - Provide an appeal process for employees and managers between the preliminary report and the final recommendations. Meet with appellants and management staff, as requested. - Prepare a final written report, to include salary recommendations, allocation of employees by classification, and recommendations for any new classifications and the allocation of employees to new classes. - Conduct orientation meetings with staff, management, unions, and employee groups to acquaint them with the study objectives, procedures, classification, and compensation principles and trends, expected study outcomes, and the timeline for completing critical components of the study. (2) All the questions must be submitted no later than July 16, 2026.
