(1) Vendor needs to provide open enrolment services for project search to the government authority located in Texas.– Project SEARCH completes Asset Discovery, has the opportunity to participate in three (3) unpaid internships while receiving skills training, and receives assistance in securing permanent, long–term, competitive, integrated employment.– The skills trainer meets with the customer to collect information about the customer's skills, interests, abilities, learning styles, and support needs.– Providing skills training as needed throughout the internship; – Establishing compensatory techniques and accommodations; and – Training individuals who are supporting the customer at the host business. – Project SEARCH is an international initiative that supports partnerships among businesses (employers), local school districts, vocational rehabilitation (VR) agencies, and other entities that serve individuals with disabilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities.– Project SEARCH prepares students with disabilities for the workforce through total immersion in a business environment where students develop competitive, marketable, and transferable skills.– Project SEARCH promotes the successful long–term employment of VR customers in jobs that are stable, meaningful, integrated, and competitively compensated.
