Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Bid

The City of New Haven, Board of Education Food Service (BOE) is soliciting Request for Proposals for USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Grant Program for the and school year 2024-2025 school year. The purpose of this proposal is to establish competitive pricing for the purchase and delivery of fresh fruit, produce and precut items to New Haven Public Schools for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. The vendor must have the ability to service the school district according to the contract. This Request for Proposal (RFP) shall not obligate the New Haven Public Schools (NHPS) to purchase or contract for any goods specified herein. Furthermore, the NHPS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals received, to negotiate with any qualified source, to make multiple awards or to cancel in part or in its entirety this RFP if it is determined by the NHPS to be in its best interest. The New Haven Public Schools Food Service Program reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The contract will be awarded to the vendor whose offer is judged to be most advantageous to New Haven Public Schools Food Service in the areas of price, frequency of delivery, local purchasing, service capabilities and any other factors specific to the commodity . Price alone will not be the determining factor in this RFP. Priority will be given to category pricing and not line item. Estimated Produce Needs of New Haven Public Schools: The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program of New Haven Public Schools has approximately 6 elementary Schools participate in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program . NHPS also utilizes the Department of Defense (DOD) program. NHPS also has elementary schools who participated in U.S.D.A.'s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program for school year 2024-25
