Electrical Supplies CityWide QVL

The City of Tucson (hereinafter referred to as the "City") is requesting proposals from qualified businesses to provide ELECTRICAL AND/OR LIGHTING PARTS AND ACCESSORIES, on an as needed basis as determined by City Departments. The City’s intent is to develop a Qualified Vendor List for ELECTRICAL AND/OR LIGHTING PARTS AND ACCESSORIES (hereinafter referred to as the "QVL"). The QVL will be used to source various commercial and industrial electrical supplies and parts from various manufacturers in accordance with the provisions, specifications, and instructions as stated in this solicitation. Offerors who are placed on the QVL will be an authorized source for electrical supplies and parts. This contract will be Citywide and available for use by all City departments. This contract shall also be available to regional public agencies for use. Each department has their own needs in terms of electrical and/or lighting parts and accessories and these needs will vary greatly depending on the particular department’s responsibilities. Some departments are office/warehouse based and will need items shipped to them. Other departments have field crews that operate throughout the Tucson Metropolitan area and will need to pick up items at the storefront. How the City acquires the items it buys is at the sole discretion of the individual departments and, in some cases, is determined by emergency repair needs. Multiple contractors are required to provide adequate geographical, manufacturer, and product coverage. The result of this competitive process will be a qualified vendor list from which City departments can source the products and services they need. *** Interested offerors are strongly encouraged to attend the Pre-Proposal Conference at the date and time stated on the first page of this document. The resultant Qualified Vendor List (QVL) will be the City’s PRIMARY sources for electrical and/or lighting parts and accessories. Therefore, firms who are not on the QVL will not be authorized to provide electrical and/or lighting parts and accessories for a period of up to five years. ***
