Description
The purpose of the Ryan White Service Delivery and State Services Programs is to improve the quality, availability, and organization of health care and support services for individuals and families living with or affected by HIV/AIDS infection. Eligible services to be provided include comprehensive outpatient health and support services for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. In awarding grants for these activities, the AA will strive to: Complement existing services programs. Prevent unnecessary duplication of services. Initiate needed HIV services programs where none exist; and Promote early intervention and treatment of persons with HIV infection. The purpose of the HOPWA program is to provide housing assistance for income eligible persons with HIV/AIDS and their families. The goal of the program is to prevent homelessness and to support independent living of persons with HIV/AIDS through access to supportive services and medical care.
