(1) Vendor needs to provide economic development work planning and program implementation services to the government authority located in Santa Barbara, CA.– Assist in supporting key areas of growth related to the city’s economic development.– Review and summarize existing market assessments– Recommend which target industries are best suited for the city– Conduct an assessment focused on comparing city to at least two peer cities with similar characteristics, such as: size, accessibility, proximity to tourism, age of development, business make–up, major impact fees, and any other socioeconomic indicators the Consultant recommends– Recommend which local, regional, state, national, and international economic development initiatives and stakeholders are relevant to the city target industries.– Develop a workplan of strategies and tactics to rapidly engage new and existing initiatives and stakeholders.– Include an examination of business property infrastructure throughout the City in the analysis– Develop a work plan to enhance economic opportunities for the city Airport and the city Waterfront– Develop and manage business district support and engagement– Develop and manage a proactive and positive economic communications campaign(2) All questions must be submitted no later than August 3, 2026.
