The sole source purchase requisition is requested by the end user because FujiFilm VisualSonics is the sole manufacturer of this state-of-the-art, highly specialized echocardiography technology. The system features proprietary hardware and custom acquisition and analysis software designed specifically for evaluating cardiovascular structure and function in rodent models, including mice, rats, and hamsters. Because FujiFilm VisualSonics is the only supplier offering this capability, alternative platforms cannot satisfy the technical requirements of the research.
