Introduction The issuing office believes that the requested Services in this Request for Proposals maybe proprietary to one vendor under Section 2155.067 of the Government Code ; however, the issuing office strongly encourages offers from all qualified Respondents that may be able to provide the requested items . The Health and Human Services Commission (“ Owner ”), for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division (“ HSCS ”), is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals (“ Proposals ”) for selection of a General Contractor (“ Contractor ”) to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner for Project No.24-119-LBL, Fire Alarm Panel Upgrade at Lubbock State Supported Living Center (the “ Project ”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in this Solicitation. Project Location, Summary, and Budget Project Location: Lubbock State Supported Living Center 3401 N University Ave, Lubbock, TX, 79415 Project Summary: The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Fire Alarm System Installing Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials, and perform all operations in connection with the demolition of the existing fire alarm system and the installation of a new, addressable fire alarm system throughout the designated buildings on the Lubbock State Supported Living Center in Lubbock, Texas, as indicated and described in the contract drawings and specifications. Other than where noted by the design documents, the existing fire alarm system shall remain fully operational until acceptance of the new fire alarm system. Only compatible systems conforming exactly to the designated specifications, which include proposing only the brand name(s), make and model number(s) specified,will be considered.
