LEGAL-18419 - USA (Millbrook, New York) - Alternate Indigent Défense Services - Deadline December 1,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide alternate indigent défense services to the government authority located in Millbrook, NY.• Provide competent, effective, quality legal services in all cases.• Contractor is expected to accept all non–conflict court appointments as stated above and must assume representation and/or transfer of all open cases, except those determined to be holdover cases, from the current service provider at the time the contract is awarded.• Provide competent, adequate, and effective legal representation in all cases, consistent with standards established by state and federal case law, statutory law, and the agency.• Provide competent, adequate, and effective legal representation for indigent defendants and juveniles when appointed by the Court from the time of the appointment up to and including final adjudication or disposition of such case, including all post dispositional and post sentencing duties as required for juveniles and adults, including but not limited to perfecting client’s appellate• The circumstances under which vertical representation will not be used and a policy governing the use and limitations of stand–in counsel• The proposed training program and procedures for monitoring training quality and compliance.• Procedures for monitoring and evaluating attorney and subcontractor performance, including quality control and compliance with juvenile representation requirements.• Proposed subcontracting arrangements, including subcontractor roles, case assignments, supervision, evaluation, compensation, quality control, responsibility and liability, and a copy of the proposed subcontract agreement.• Procedures for protecting confidential client information, maintaining secure records, and ensuring information security.(2) The contract period will be for one year.(3) All the questions must be submitted no later than November 12, 2026.
