(1) Vendor needs to provide temporary full–time local history database cataloging assistant service to the government authority located in Methuen, MA.• The Agency is seeking a detail–oriented and self–motivated Temporary Full–Time Cataloguing Assistant to help organize our digital local history collection.• The Local History Database Cataloger will be responsible for creating and maintaining metadata records for a wide range of digital resources, including photographs, documents, maps, and public records.• Key Responsibilities– Create new metadata records for a variety of digital resources, applying the Dublin Core standard.– Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all metadata records, paying close attention to detail.– Work collaboratively with the project manager & other volunteer staff to implement and maintain metadatacreation workflows and standards.– Perform data entry into our database and conduct quality control checks.– Assist with digitization projects by preparing and organizing files for metadata application.• Hours: This is a contract position, total of 2,080 hours over one year• Compensation: $35 per hour, full–time, One–Year Position, no benefits(2) The contract period will be for one year.
