Wellness Mobile App

Pasadena Police Department is seeking a mobile wellness app that will provide a variety of mental health services to include but not limited to mental health services, emotional health, emotional support, financial wellness tips and peer support services. The mobile app will be assessible to all police department employees of all ranks and positions. First responders respond to traumatic incidents on a regular basis and may have a difficult time managing the emotions and stressors associated with these types of incidents Studies show that first responders who fail to manage their stressors tend to turn to maladaptive coping mechanisms such as substance abuse, infidelity, marital discord and alcoholism. Unfortunately, their is stigma associated with seeking help and getting connected with needed resources. In order to minimize the stigma and provide first responders with resources, a mobile wellness app will provide resources in a confidential and efficient manner.
