City of Tampa / Water Production
Description
The David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility Water Quality laboratory utilizes a Thermo iCAP RQ Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS), Dionex Ion Chromatograph System (ICS) - 5000 and a Dionex ICS - 6000 for the detection of regulated contaminate concentrations in our drinking, source and other unknown water samples. We are required to meet the regulations set forth in the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C) 62-550 and the Safe Drinking Water Act enforced by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). To ensure safe and proper operation of these "3" instruments, only authentic spare parts from Thermo Electron must be used. Thermo Electron (also referred to as Thermo Fisher Scientific) is the only company with access to these verified component parts and spare parts.
