IFB 27-0002 The City of Galax is accepting bids for Outdoor Swimming Pool Replaster and Refurbishment

The City of Galax is requesting bids for improvements to the outdoor swimming pool facility. The project will include pool surface rehabilitation and structural repairs, including replastering of the pool interior, repair of beams, tile and coping repairs, and removal and replacement of hollow or deteriorated areas.Work will also include installation of six (6) new racing lanes on the pool floor, replacement of the main drain lid with an anti-entrapment drain cover meeting Virginia Graeme Baker (VGB) Pool & Spa Safety Act standards, installation of new depth markers, replacement of ladder anchors, and provision of a new pool cover. All work shall be completed in accordance with applicable industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and safety regulations to provide a safe, functional, and upgraded outdoor pool facility for the City of Galax. Bidders are encouraged to conduct an on-site inspection prior to bid submission. Inspections can be scheduled by contacting City of Galax staff. The City of Galax reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids.
