(1) Vendor needs to provide convention and tourism promotion and destination marketing services.A. Brand Marketing and Destination Promotion- Comprehensive Marketing Strategy: Plan, implement, and manage a strategic marketing and promotion effort to elevate awareness of unique qualities, establishing it as an exceptional destination for visitors, businesses, and residents in the region.- Annual Marketing and Tourism Plan: Develop and submit an annual marketing plan to the city council finance, economic development, and administration committee.B. Group Sales and Convention Sales and Support- Multi–Venue Event Attraction: Coordinate and advance collective efforts to bring groups of visitors to agency that require the cooperation of multiple local businesses and venues.C. Sports Tourism Support- Event Attraction and Support: Coordinate collaborative efforts to attract and support sporting events and tournaments that generate visitation to agency.D. Economic Impact and Revenue Optimization- Visitor Spending Generation: Drive revenue to the City derived from visitor spending across local sectors, including hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues.- Strategic Alignment: Actively participate in the initiatives with the City of Overland Park as they relate to tourism and destination development.- Industry Leadership: Serve as the City's industry expert by maintaining a deep understanding of travel trends, community needs/aspirations, effective tactics, and productivity measures(2) All question must be submitted no later than October 26, 2026.
