(1) Vendor needs to provide desktop support specialist services.• Work includes installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computers, mobile devices, vehicle–mounted technology, peripherals, software applications, wiring, power connections, and other technology utilized in support of municipal law–enforcement and public–safety operations.• Provides first– and second–level technical support to department personnel through in–person, telephone, remote, and help–desk support.Installs, configures, maintains, upgrades, and troubleshoots desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, docking stations, mobile devices, and related peripherals.• Provides technical support for computers and mobile technology utilized by officers and other personnel in police vehicles and field operations.• Diagnoses and resolves hardware, software, operating system, connectivity, printing, peripheral, and user–access issues.• Installs, configures, and maintains Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other city– and department–approved applications.• Provides technical support for specialized law–enforcement applications, including computer–aided dispatch (CAD), records management systems (RMS), mobile data systems, electronic citation systems, and other public–safety applications.• Assists with the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls, including endpoint protection, encryption, multifactor authentication, and other security measures.• Maintains accurate records of department technology assets, equipment assignments, software licenses, warranties, vehicle installations, and related inventory information.(2) This is not RFP; this is job posting.
