Industrial Pipe and Vessel Insulation at Dane County RNG Plant

The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a bid response for the supply and installation of insulation at the Dane County Renewable Natural Gas Plant. Dane County Department of Waste & Renewables is soliciting bids for the supply and installation of insulation and jacketing systems at the Dane County RNG Plant in Madison, WI. The objective is to source effective insulation and jacketing systems for process gas heat retention and liquid freeze protection for the following piping and equipment systems. Quantities are approximate, please see posted bid documents for specific count, length, and requirements. H2S Vessel System: 12 inch pipe, mostly elevated in pipe rack (220 feet of length) 24 inch OD x 76 inch H round filter vessel, set on grade (1 unit) 10, 4, 2, and 1 inch piping, short segments (40 feet in total) Flow meter body, removable insulation jacket (1 unit) 12 and 10 inch butterfly valve, removable insulation jacket (15 units) 4 and 2 inch ball valve, removable insulation jackets (4 units) PSA Vessel System: 6 foot OD x 11 foot round process vessel (12 units) 5 and 4 inch piping, short segments (60 feet in total) Miscellaneous Systems: 10, 8, and 6 inch piping, short segments 10, 8, and 6 inch butterfly valve, removable insulation jackets 4, 2, and 1 inch piping, short segments Proposed insulation should demonstrate lowest overall cost of use per unit of insulation (e.g. vessel, LF of pipe, etc.). See Bid Submission - Pricing section for required information. Heat trace installation or termination is not part of this bid. Certain specific areas have or will have heat trace installed before insulation is placed. Pricing Table 3 Miscellaneous Systems unit costs shall not include any aerial work, scaffolding, or other specialized equipment to complete. If such work is requested by Dane County, specific pricing will be negotiated in a change order. Dane County will award the contract to selected Bidder based on the response to the RFB.
