INSPECTION, TESTING & MAINTENANCE FOR FIRE SAFETY SYSTEMS

Facilities and Communications Maintenance (FCM), a division of the City of Tucson General Services Department, is responsible for providing maintenance services for City owned buildings and facilities through a combination of internal staffing and contracted services. The City is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) services for Fire Alarm and Automatic Fire Sprinkler systems as installed within City Facilities. The intent of this contract is to provide inspection, testing and maintenance of fire safety systems, while meeting all requirements associated with required reporting and documentation. All aspects shall be in full compliance with International Fire Code IFC 2018 or IFC Requirement observed by Tucson Fire, all applicable NFPA codes and standards, Tucson Fire Department requirements and City of Tucson insurance carrier requirements, certifying all systems to be fully functional, interfaced, and ready to provide fire protection service per the design and intent of their installation. The inspection process will also include the identification of system deficiencies and repair needs, which will involve the Contractor submitting deficiency reports with associated cost proposal for the identified repair.
