(1) Vendor needs to provide comprehensive transportation management system.– Provide a comprehensive software and technology solution.– This includes software and GPS navigation tablets for managing all aspects of school bus transportation for approximately 20,000 students who travel to 200+ schools on approximately 3,000 daily routes throughout the school year to provide safe, reliable, on–time, and cost–effective transportation to students.– The routing software must support the creation of new bus routes, preferably with the ability to automatically generate algorithmically optimized bus routes which can then be further manually adjusted.– The routing software must support ongoing route adjustments, in order to assign new/changed students to routes and to improve routes.– Student enrollment and transportation accommodation information must be able to be transmitted from our district student information system software (EdFi, Aspen, EdPlan) into the routing software, and kept in sync on a daily, automated basis.
