This is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) for market research purposes only and is not a request for proposal, request for quotation, or an invitation for bid. The 409th Supply Chain Management Squadron at Robins Air Force Base is seeking to identify potential sources with the technical expertise, qualifications, and capabilities necessary to provide repair and overhaul services for C–5 Moving Island Actuators.Due to the critical flight safety nature of these components, the repair effort is restricted to approved sources. The government has attached the approved Source Qualification Statement (SQS) to this notice to allow potential alternative sources the maximum amount of time to review the technical requirements and initiate the qualification process. The Government is seeking to determine the market`s ability to supply these repair services and to identify interested and qualified sources for a potential future competitive procurement. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the procedures outlined in the attached SQS.At this time, there are no previously qualified sources for this repair. All interested parties must submit a qualification package demonstrating their ability to meet the requirements detailed in the SQS.For the SSS Response (30–day deadline): Contractors do not need to be qualified at the time of SSS submission. Respondents only need to submit the Capabilities Statement and Survey outlined in the submission instructions below.For Qualification (45–day deadline): Unqualified sources must qualify in accordance with the attached SQS.
