(1) Vendor needs to provide hazard mitigation consultant service to the government authority located in New Orleans, LA. – For planning and implementing projects that reduce long–term disaster risk in coordination with internal and external partners.– Prepare and submit complete applications, on behalf of the City to FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation assistance (HMA) Programs including but not limited to the Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMG), Flood mitigation Assistance (FMA), and the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) programs, and any hazard mitigation activity deemed eligible.– Implement and monitor the City’s hazard mitigation project and programs, to include preparation and submission of grant applications to and FEMA, consultation process for participating homeowners, and in–progress monitoring of participating properties.
