Collaborative Program Grant for Interdisciplinary Teams (RM1 Clinical Trial Optional)

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) supports interdisciplinary research teams of three to six Program Directors/Principal Investigators (PDs/PIs) to address ambitious and challenging research questions. Collaborative program teams are expected to be integrated, working together to tackle a single focused scientific goal that requires considerable synergy and meaningful team interaction. Program goals should not be achievable through individual efforts or a collection of projects. Teams are encouraged to consider far-reaching objectives that will produce major advances in their fields. Eligibility: Refer to Section III. NIH will no longer issue awards (i.e., new, renewal, or non-competing continuation) to domestic or foreign entities that involve foreign subawards/subcontracts. All NIH-funded research involving foreign subawards/subcontracts must be submitted in response to a NOFO that is specifically designated for funded international collaborations.
