(1) Vendor needs to provide zoning ordinance rewrite consulting services to the government authority located in Christiansburg, VA. • Code Audit.– Analyze existing standards and strive for consistency within the document and across zoning districts when feasible.– Identify ways to incorporate best zoning practices and contemporary approaches to zoning.• Document Structure and Graphics– Restructure/rewrite the Zoning Ordinance into streamlined, clear, and user–friendly regulatory provisions that are easy to navigate for land development applicants and the public and simple to enforce by County staff.• Matters Plan Implementation.– Review Montgomery Matters Comprehensive Plan and indicate sections of the Zoning Ordinance that need to be revised or enhanced to align and implement new policy direction.• Create a Village Overlay District• Other Pending Ordinance Amendments• Public Input– Develop a public engagement strategy to include residents, businesses, the development community, Board of Supervisors, and Planning Commission(2) All questions must be submitted no later than October 7, 2026.
