Vendor needs to provide mental health consultant services to the government authority located in Jacksonville, NC.• Oversee the mental health service area to ensure compliance with the head start performance standards for mental health consultation services.• Serve as the mental health consultant who meets the head start performance standards.• Provide ongoing mental health consultation services to the preschool program as needed, in alignment with head start program performance standards expectations for regular mental health supports.• Partner with program leadership to implement a multidisciplinary approach to mental health and well–being that coordinates education, disability, health, family engagement, and community services.• Consult with teaching staff to promote positive classroom climates, nurturing and responsive relationships, supportive teacher practices, and strategies for preventing and responding to challenging behavior.• Participate in case consultation and multidisciplinary team meetings and crisis teams, including discussions related to child development, disability services, behavior support, attendance, family engagement, transitions, and wellness.• Effectively maintains accurate records and adheres to timelines and standards. Entering and reporting data, in the preschool database system, with extra care and constant attention to the security of confidential student and family information.• Assist the program in reviewing its mental health consultation approach annually to determine whether services meet program, child, family, and staff needs.• Build and maintain community partnerships that expand access to mental health resources, crisis supports, prevention services, and culturally responsive family supports.
