THE COUNTY OF KERN IS EXTENDING AN INVITATION TO BID FOR RAINBOW AND GOLDEN RAINBOW (LIGHTNING) TROUT TO BE PLANTED AT LAKE EVANS IN THE BUENA VISTA RECREATIONAL AREA IN KERN COUNTY, CA. Completion of this Quotation Request Form, including the Pricing/Delivery Schedule, Vendor Information and the Terms and Conditions portion are required and must be returned with your response. BID RESPONSE INSTRUCTIONS: It is the sole responsiblilty of the Vendor to return responses by the time and date stated. Please contact the Buyer listed for this Quotation Request, should you require assistance. It is best to email the Buyer (Cynthia Nicholson) at: cnicholson@kerncounty.com. If that is not possible you may call: 661-868-3017). Questions may be submitted through the bid, on Public Purchase.com. Questions asked before 4:00PM, PST, September 21, 2026, will be answered, any questions asked after that, efforts will be made to answer, but it is not guaranteed. Quotation Responses may be submitted online, or Sealed Bids delivered to: Kern County Purchasing Attn. Cynthia Nicholson 1115 Truxtun Avenue Bakersfield, CA 93301 before 11:00:00 a.m., PST, on Thursday, September 24, 2026. The Quotation Request # "PR2702609 "Trout Bid 26/27", must appear on the outside of the envelope. If you are submitting online through Public Purchase.com, it is the Vendor's responsibility to make sure the required completed Quotation Request form is uploaded and returned with your response. Faxed, or direct emailed responses are not allowed. Do not modify any of the text of this Quotation Request, provided by the County, doing so, is grounds for disqualification. Mission/Overview: The Kern County Parks Department is requesting bids for planting of Rainbow and Golden Rainbow (Lightning) Trout at Lake Buena Vista, located between Bakersfield and Taft, CA. This is for scheduled plants with the first initial plant near the end of November and and approximately two plants a month from December to April. The County desires to have one Vendor provide all of the scheduled loads as described. However, if that is not possible at a value price, the County may make split awards by deliveries, in order to best achieve the desired dates, fish supply and budget. The pricing shall include all Labor, materials, equipment and any other fees associated with providing and delivering the Trout in the 75% Rainbow Trout, between 3/4 lbs. to 3 lbs. each, 15%,Golden Rainbow ( Lightning) Trout, larger than 3 lbs. each and 10% Rainbow Trout, larger than 3 lbs. each ratio per the scope of work and specifications stated above. Please enter your pricing as a price per pound for fish. The price per pound shall be the same price for all sizes, in that load. If you are not able to bid on all of the load dates, please enter N/A for Not Applicable. If bid a load, you are stating that you can meet that delivery date and time and you must be able to provide the pounds requested for that load, or more. PLEASE SEE THE QUOTATION REQUEST ATTACHED, FOR ALL OF THE DETAILS. THE COMPLETED QUOTATION REQUEST FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR RESPONSE!! ALL LATE BIDS WILL BE REJECTED ! THE PUBLIC PURCHASE.COM SYSTEM SHUTS OFF ALLOWING SUBMISSIONS EXACTLY AT THE TIME STATED, THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD.
