Forest Fuels Reduction Projects RFQ 2

Tuolumne County is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to conduct forest fuel reduction using a suite of treatments such as mastication, hand thinning, chipping, and piling, and the creation of fuel breaks as authorized in the Master Stewardship Agreement the County has with the USDA, Forest Service, Stanislaus National Forest. Tuolumne County intends to pre-qualify and select Contractors that meet the specifications of this RFQ, with the intent to only offer contracts for projects that will be bid on and accepted /awarded. Placement on the County’s Pre-Qualified Contractor List does not guarantee a Contractor will be given project(s) to implement. It is the County’s intent to expedite the procurement and implementation process by issuing Request for Proposals (RFP) of projects only to those Contractors who are on the County’s Pre-Qualified Contractor List.
