GIS-2049 - USA (Texas) - Mapping and Geographical Information System Surveyor Services - Deadline September 26,2026

(1) Vendor needs to provide mapping and geographical information system surveyor services to the government authority located in Texas. – Collect Geographic Information System (GIS) data to reflect vegetation communities on the four training sites as identified in the National Community Classification System and provide a report detailing methods and results of the project being produced. – To delineate existing and potential vegetation communities, determine fuel characteristics for each identified plant association, and to assess the condition for each identified plant association. – Identify plant communities and associated fuel models using aerial imagery and systematic ground surveys. – Contractor shall determine actual vegetation series, potential vegetation series, plant alliance, plant association, fuel code, vegetation status/condition, and any comments associated with identified plant communities. – Vegetation series should be determined using the Texas Natural Heritage Program classification system. – The reports shall discuss methods used for surveys, results of the surveys, and the descriptions of the vegetation series, alliances, and associations identified.– Maps of the identified plant communities will be a part of the reports. (2) The contract period will be one year.
