(1) Vendor needs to provide legal assistance services to the government authority located in Hilo, HI.– Provide representation and advocacy for frail and vulnerable older individuals who are victims of abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. – Provide advice, representation and/or appropriate referrals for older individuals with legal issues, including, but not limited to the areas of social security, medicare, food stamps, consumer, housing, and landlord or tenant problems, guardianship, simple wills, medical treatment, and long–term care issues.– Provide advice, representation, and advocacy for older individuals who are incapacitated and require legal assistance in obtaining access to appropriate medical care or health care facilities.– Assist older individuals in limited estate planning, will preparation, and drafting of other legal documents.– Provide training and information to community service aides and other persons providing services to older individuals on various legal problems commonly encountered by older individuals.– Perform community outreach on legal issues by visiting residents in each/any district, if necessary, as well as at community events.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than August 13, 2026.(3) The contract period will be for one year.
