Decedent Removal and Transportation

The sole purpose and intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to establish a sole contractor for decedent removal and transportation services for the San Mateo County Coroner's Office. Contractor shall conduct all deceased body transports related to this RFP and are not permitted to subcontract the transport of deceased bodies to other third parties, agencies, or companies. Services shall include providing the sufficient materials, equipment and staff to provide the removal and transportation of deceased persons from any location designated by the San Mateo Coroner's Office to the County's holding facility located at the Pathology Division, 225 37th Avenue in the City of San Mateo, or to any other location designated by the San Mateo County Coroner's Office, in accordance with instructions provided by the Coroner or Designee(s).
