(1) Vendor needs to provide application processing system.• Provide Application Processing System (APS) contractor shall operate lockbox–style front–end services to support the processing of millions of paper–based passport applications annually.• Provide comprehensive front–end processing support, including intake, fee processing, data capture and validation, secure electronic transmission of data and images, and secure physical transfer of materials and supporting documents to passport sites nationwide.• Secure customer authentication and PII protection.• Real–time payment verification and fraud detection.• Transaction reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, and exception reports).• Receive and sort mailed applications and related correspondence.• Open and prepare mail, extract and organize contents.• Scan applications and associated documents.• Capture, validate, and correct data.• Transmit electronic data, images, and physical files to the department.• Dispatch physical application packages and supporting documents, and securely store or destroy or return documents as authorized.• Data capture and validation.• Secure electronic transmission of data and images.• Secure physical transfer of materials and supporting documents to passport sites nationwide.(2) The contract period will be for one year.
